Which KOFs do you have? Guessing '98 is one of them. : ) I have 2000, and '97, but that one was just included as a freebie with the CMVS I got off eBay.

I have 95, 98, and 2003. I have 95 because I like some of the art and the damage is hilarious. I have 98 because it’s really good and that’s what people tend to want to play. I have 2003 because it’s the wiz bang finale. I really need to get 2002. I love that one.

'95 might be the one I'm least familiar with. I didn't realize it had high damage. Is '03 good for vs play?

'95 has crazy high damage. Even I can kill people in two combos with a dizzy in between. Its nuts. I'd say 2003 is very good for VS play because its the one game with tagging in it which your dipshit Capcom friends will like. Its very good alone too since it has great endings. Personally I've played more versus 2002 than anything, probably. I used to share a place with a guy when we were both unemployed around 2002/2003 and we had this Astro City in the house with 2002 in it and we basically just played the shit out it. Its like 98, just different characters, many of which I really like.

Hm dang I'm not sure I've seen many endings for 03. I had trouble with the difficulty curve--like, it was too easy, then you hit midboss Kusanagi and he's super hard, although of course that was possibly just due to me sucking. I like 02 all right, there are just a few flashy bits I can't turn off. (Did you mean 03 is the one *SNK* game with tagging Capcom fans will like?)

Yes, the one SNK game your Capcom friends will like. 2003 has one “bad” ending. To get the team endings you need to have a team of course and you have to KO Kyo (Ha!) with a DM or SDM. If you have a UNIBIOS its easy to see them all, of course. If you want to cheat less you can get to the boss with your edit team, then lose to the guy and Continue with a real team. The only thing that affects getting to the real boss is KO-ing Kusanagi with DM/SDM.

KOF 2003 seems to not support the Neo Geo Memory Card but it still says "YOUR CARD IS STILL INSERTED" after a game. I guess that must be built into the BIOS?
