| | Oh hey I didn't have a PS4 entry. PS4's been around for forever, may still be around forever, I dunno. My DualShock 4 was flipping out in my usual weekly browse through new releases on PSN--at this point pretty much pointless, since generally the only hope of something I'll be interested in on PS4 is some Arcade Archives release from Hamster--but you can see those listed on their web site. Anyway, @schroeder suggested https://selectbutton.net/t/methods-of-input-part-2/12364/1458 checking the button membranes or whatnot before just chucking the controller, so I opened it up, and R2 popped out as I pried the case apart. That turned out to be the button that was twigging out anyway--activating when not being pressed--but fumbling around with the thing and putting it back together somehow cured it, go fig. ^ _^ At this point the PS4 is mainly useful to me for channeling funds from my credit card to my PSN account in case I want to buy something off the PS3's US PS Store--since I get an error when I try to do that through Sony's web site. = P So, I would kind of like for PS4 to be cracked and emulated--like I guess Bloodborne emulation is doing pretty well at the moment--ala the PS3...except that it would be inconvenient if the PS4's credit card functionality was taken away, as Sony did with the PS3 when that was cracked....unless that actually prompted to find out how to get credit card funding working through Sony's site (although I'm not sure if there are any real options to be tried there). |
