after playing CF relatively recently before going back to CF2, I found CF2 pretty disappointing - the attempt to put a "proper" story killed a lot of the feeling that I was exploring. Also the card system was less engaging somehow

So far it works perfectly, USB right on the cart, works in OSX, etc. I'm excited to play CF2 in English. I never really put a huge amount of time into it since I have 200 hours into the JP version but I've now forgotten a lot of it and can play it on an actual NGP so it should be a lot of fun. Follow Ups:

The thing is, CF1 only had so many strategies. Introducing the "interrupt" card (can't recall proper name) opened up a lot of new tricks. Without them the game is just way too predictable. I don't have any opinions on the story. I'm sure it sucks like every other card fighting game so honestly I skim it very fast and don't really bother to pay attention.

I should check it out again, I just really liked the rhythm of the original - predictability doesn't bother me in something that's basically a tactics game, so long as there's a good difficulty arc.
