Someone on Twitter asked about a Neo Geo Pocket emulator for Windows. I did a bit of searching to find what's new/best now. I came across this link that only lists RAPE? v0.1 and links to "Sector: NGPC" at dimension-s.com. So, anyone using any new(ish) NGP/C emulators that are good?
This makes me feel like I should pick up RACE again and make a proper Windows/Mac port. Yeah, add that to my 10th tier priorities.
Follow Ups:
Haven't used a NGPC emulator in years, but wasn't Neopop considered the best? It's what I used to make those NGPC combo movies back in the day. (n/t) (Rockman Pocket) (17:35:54 05/12/16 EST)
Ooh! I did this recently! Couldn't get most of them to work, especially on Windows 10, but finally found Mednafen--it's command-line based and takes a little configuring with batch file setup or whatnot, but runs MotM perfectly, with full sound (even net play potentially, if I remember right), controller support (my PS4 arcade sticks work great), and beautiful pixel-perfect non-blurry graphics in full screen. Can't remember where I found it but Google should be helpful. The version I have is 0.9.38.7, updated September of last year. It's a multi-system emulator, the docs say the NGPC emulation is based off NeoPop--but they certainly have improved upon it or at least upgraded the audio/video support, among other things.
