Unlike the PS4 version (see entry 1520) you can buy these a la carte for like $0.99 each, uh except for a few which are $4.99 for some reason. Anyway I was only interested in Shadow Dancer (the middle Shinobi game on Genesis--first one, Revenge, is too limited on throwing knives and just kind of a pain; last one, Shinobi III, has wall jumping and hit flashes : P), which was 99 cents woo. (Let's pretend I didn't buy Eternal Champions a year or two ago um.)

If you launch it from Steam you get this overly fancy window launcher thingy. It seems to run the game all right once you've set up the display and control options.

But it also installs the ROMs in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sega Classics\uncompressed ROMs which is basically inviting you to run them in the emulator of your choice, so I'll free up the gig or so of HD space the Steam version takes up, and run Shadow Dancer in Mednafen. = D Thanks Sega! ^_ ^

The Sonic platformers for it were delisted when Sonic Origins (see entry 1716) came out, alas.

Note to self: Virtua Fighter 2 for it seems kinda cool except for bright screen lightning flashes in Sarah's stage, so blah--and playing as Sarah doesn't get you out of it in this version (unlike PS3 arcade port, see entry 1378), it just does a lightning flashy mirror match!

Oops no it was fight Sarah as Jacky in the PS3 version of VF2, then they're in Chicago instead of the lightning-riddled Colosseum. But that doesn't work in the Genesis version, they're still at the Colosseum. : P
