The other games in the Bundle are either too flashy (Battle Circuit) or just too kind of slow and boring for me at the moment; I was prepared to feel that way about Final Fight as well, but it's so fast and responsive I can't help continuing to bash the buttons, repetitive as the mass onslaughts of enemies are. |

| | Playing through Final Fight as the default character, Guy; it's the version of the US arcade ROM extracted from the Steam version of Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle (see entry 1739) with game-extraction-toolbox (see entry 1689), running in current MAME (0.262; see entry 1541). DIDN'T find the game too grindy/monotonous this time, then again I was nonstop babbling silly theories of why Capcom (and Technos Japan, who made the Double Dragon (see entry 1579) series that inspired Final Fight) never really went this big on an original IP beat em up in the arcade again. The background colors in this game are so good. I keep forgetting that TMNT (Oct 11, 1989; see entry 1457) came out a month and a half BEFORE Final Fight (Nov 25, 1989). Anyway, I guess I do like Final Fight okay. ^ _^ Now, can I make myself go back to FF2 (see entry 1528)? Never DID play through it as Maki. |

| | Haggar Didn't feel like I was doing so well at first, felt a bit better once I got more into the flow of his drop kicks and spin! |
