it's been 2.5 years since i posted "who all got that coronavirus" and i still haven't gotten it, against all odds, even when my partner had it for two weeks. weird.

followups:
make a new vaccine with his bloodddddddd (like vampiface like) (00:15:12 08/18/22 est)
although neither he nor his wife, an emergency room pharmacist, nor their 5-year-old son (although who can really tell with young kids i guess) have gotten it as far as i know, so i suppose he's pretty sure i'm the one being silly at this point. which is possible but it's also better than getting/giving covid so whatever. wellll it's really unlikely we'll ever get out of pandemic mode here, except to go into endemic mode. they're apparently ramping down buying vaccines, too. i did manage to get a second booster shot though, which ought to help a little bit at least. i'm about to travel to pax and tgs so the likelihood of my being exposed to covid is about 100%. i've still dodged it, double-boosted. i'm hopeful that the improved booster(s) in future will finally do the job, but who knows, because it's obvious most people aren't going to bother to get it (and as noted, the us is going to charge people for 'em) even with re-infection so possible, so i suspect we'll never really reach a point where it's unlikely i'll catch it if i choose to live a normal, "pre-pandemic" life. after that short window last summer before the variants really started kicking in i haven't eaten in restaurants and i still mask to go inside anywhere. i don't see any problem with that, but it'll get boring again in winter when i can't eat out on patios? to my knowledge, i have not had it, nor has my wife or daughter. my son got it, though, but he was fully vaxxed and it was a pretty mild case. covid. :( (n/t) (jeurja) (12:57:34 08/22/22 est)
just to update, i still haven't had it to where i knew about it. also skipped over the flu despite my partner having it, so... not sure what's going on here. my body in general is for sure getting much older (wrist damage, arthritic knees) but my immune system appears to be functioning on hyperdrive somehow.
