Boy, did I think that was clever. What I suppose I should say is, in the impossible scenario that it happened, wouldn't a NGPC2 have been more or less a GBA with a clicky stick, essentially? Before the GBA, you could certainly have argued that SNK needed to make their own hardware in order to bring the ARCADE ACTION FEEL to life on a portable, but the GBA was more than powerful enough for whatever they'd have needed to do.

well the actual NGPC2 was the "neo geo pocket 64" right? so who knows what that would've looked like. I really think what they needed was third party support.

: o What is this NGP64? : ooo And yes, thinking this thread over this morning, I came to that same conclusion about needing some big developers to sign on--but that doesn't happen because they were all happy on Nintendo's portables--and that's where the importance of being #1 that Zeta is scoffing it really comes in. It was fine and all for us getting SNK and 2nd party games, but that being just about all the dev support there was, there was no chance to survive.
