| | Upscaler, seems to have been the benchmark for ages now--although I did have an "XRGB-2 plus" back in the day. ; ) Adds about 1 frame of delay to the video, they say. The top buttons are stiff and mine have started not to be very responsive at all, so I've finally had to bust out the remote control. Some of the settings can reset sometimes--finally realized that SMART X1 screen scale gets reset to Standard or whatever if you have it set to 720p output and input a 1080p screen, because the Framemeister considers SMART X1 not valid for downscaling (it takes the input screen resolution and adds black borders if necessary to get it to output size). |
| | I split the original console signal to two OSSCs--because for instance at 240p one outputs 4x for recording, the other outputs 5x for my screen; the 4x one goes to the Framemeister to get turned into a standard 720p or 1080p signal--my Elgato Game Capture HD can't read the signal from the OSSC without the Framemeister's massaging. |

| | The remote is way easier to use than the top buttons anyway, 'cause it has individual buttons to set the Meister to PICTURE and SMART X1--which I have to do each time 'cause they can get reset when going from 720 to 1080 or whichever--instead of having to go through a menu flow. |

| | An odd old note: "(for streaming/recording reduced 720p, framemeister on "NORMAL2" (otherwise, PICTURE))" |
| | Settings guide: https://arekuse.net/blog/tech-guides/upscalers-linedoublers/the-ultimate-guide-for-framemeister-eng/ For NORMAL2, notes "improves the image in 4:3 format" Oh I see, "reduced 720p" would mean streaming a 1080p signal in just 720p for bandwidth purposes. |
