A modified version of the
underground parts of the Simms single player level, Carlsbad Caverns
has nice design (based on Lucasarts) and will have ya runnin' around in
th' dark fer quite some time. Don't worry, you'll have fun.
While th' unendin' darkness can get a bit oppressive, there's a nice little
stream th' level creator added in that adds a bit of color an' cheerful
sound to this otherwise gloomy place. Th' stream ties together two
deep pits, at th' top of which lie two main open areas filled with
boxes an' pueblo-style walls. In between are precipices, narrow
plank bridges, a jail, stairs, ledges, an' lots of shootin'.

|
Yeah it's dim, dark an' dank, but
hey it's a nice switch from sunbleached dust bowls ain't it?

Th' bridges over th' precipices
|
are probably th' best parts.
You'll want to cross these narrow, rickety gangways at some
point, an' you'll probably wanna do it fast so some lowdown
cave-skulker doesn't knock ya off with a load of buckshot.
This makes fer some nervous, spine-tinglin' moments as
ya rush along a thin little board in th' dark, with
way too much empty space all around. It's downright spooky.
This is a nice change of pace level for medium to large sized
deathmatches or team play. Yeah it's dim, dark an' dank, but
hey it's a nice switch from sunbleached dust bowls ain't it?
There's a nice assortment of weapons an' ammo layin' about
in th' darkness, so go light up some'a yer buddies in this
cavern. An' watch yer step on those bridges.
