Ten Paces

Go read my review of MrBurrito's other level, "Clatsop", an' you'll have a pretty good idea of what Ten Paces is like. (WHOOPS - took that review down, jus' imagine it, okay?) It's pretty much th' same idea, mebbe a bit more polished an' a bit bigger.

I dunno what th' heck "Ten Paces" refers to. From th' name I thought this wuz gonna be a dueling level, but it's really a small deathmatch level. It's got th' same centrally-based plan as Clatsop, again with two branching tunnels that loop back to the center. Th' text file says it's supposed ta be a bombed-out civil war building an' if this was a building it sure deserved a good bombing. The architecture is rather odd an' parts are really abstract, and there's that weird sky tiling problem again.

 
 
Ya may get a bit tired of it after a while, but all in all it's pretty well done.

Still, it's pretty good
fer a fast Deathmatch. Like Clatsop there's a gatling gun, lotsa dynamite an' a shotgun or two. The side ledges here are even more conducive ta snipin' than Clatsop's because there's no central building ta block yer view of the main area.

So again this is a small deathmatch level fer intense fightin'. Ya may get a bit tired of it after a while, but all in all it's pretty well done, an' an improvement over Clatsop. It may lack a bit in concept and looks but ya may not have time ta notice that in th' midst of a raucous gunfight.
