RangeWar
by DeanWermer
supports Team, CTF
Two little buildings face each other across a vast herd of cattle. These are some of th' most sedate cows you'll ever find: th' furious gunplay that inevitably ensues above them and in their very midst disturbs them not a whit. In fact they make pretty good bullet shields, an' you'll need 'em if yer gonna survive this war.

As far as I know RangeWar was th' first Outlaws level designed specifically fer Capture the Flag games. In fact if ya wanna play on this Range ya kin only do Teams or CTF, no deathmatchin'. This here level's set up fer strategy! DeanWermer did a remarkable job of creating a beautifully balanced level that's actually really simple but yet demands yer full attention an' concentration. There are no heavy weapons an' not much shotgun ammo at all; you'll hafta learn ta survive with yer pistol, rifle and wits.

Th' layout seems intuitive an' effortless, not thrown together like many levels.

Ya kin take yer chances
crossin' th' open range, dodgin' cattle an' rifle fire, or ya kin try ta sneak through on'a th' two tunnels that covers half th' distance between each base. Th' layout seems intuitive an' effortless--not thrown together like many levels. Of course while yer doin' that, so are yer opponents, an' thus bullet-riddled craziness ensues. There ain't much healin' stuff around here so yer either real quick or real dead.

If ya wanna play a small CTF game, this is th' level ta use. It's kinda like Othello: a minute ta learn an' a lifetime ta master. Or probably a good number of lifetimes in Outlaws terms. This one's a classic.
